There’s a new bundle of joy on our acreage, and his name is Biscuit! He’s a 3-month-old Golden Retriever-Maremma Sheepdog mix, and let me tell you—he is every bit as sweet and golden as his name suggests. With his thick double coat and those irresistible puppy eyes, he’s already stolen the hearts of everyone who meets him. The size of his already enormous puppy paws suggest he won't stay little for long. But That's ok!
Biscuit was born on a sheep farm in Alberta, and it seems like his guardian instincts kicked in from the very start. He’s full of energy, always ready for an adventure, and adores children. But what really captured our hearts was how quickly he bonded with the newest members of our little homestead—the baby sheep we recently welcomed through the children’s 4H club.
The moment the lambs arrived, Biscuit was right there, tail wagging, ears perked up, watching over them like a seasoned livestock guardian. It’s as if he already knows that protecting his tiny flock is part of his job. Seeing this fluffy ball of energy instinctively stand guard, even at such a young age, is nothing short of heart-melting.
Whether he’s romping through the fields, chasing butterflies, or curling up for a nap after a hard day’s work (because let’s face it, puppy life is exhausting), Biscuit is already proving to be the perfect addition to our farm. We can’t wait to see him grow into the incredible guardian and loyal companion he’s destined to be.
Welcome home, Biscuit!
